Dubai Mainland

A mainland company, also known as an onshore company, can freely operate across the UAE and globally (in contrast with free zones that can only operate within their jurisdictions and internationally). Mainland companies obtain their license from each emirate’s respective Department of Economic Development.

Procedure and Timeline

Step 1: Initial Approval and Trade Name Reservation

We require three distinct trade name options in order of priority. Please keep options open as your desired trade name will not always be available.

Step 2: Corporate Documents

A standard LLC requires the shareholders to be physically present to sign the Memorandum of Association (which is required to issue the license). If the shareholder cannot be physically present, we can arrange for a Remote Power of Attorney to be granted.

Step 3: Commercial Space

Commercial space is required to issue the license. To fast-track this step, we can issue a virtual office solution. The registered contract will be issued and is known as an "Ejari".

Step 4: License Issuance

When all the foregoing formalities are completed and the Ejari is ready, the license can be issued. In some circumstances, further approvals are required.

Step 5: Visas

After license issuance, the next step is to open an establishment file. At this point, partner visas can be issued. Opening a labor file is required to issue employment visas.
